“Now He who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your seed for sowing [that is, your resources] and increase the harvest of your righteousness [which shows itself in active goodness, kindness, and love]”
(2 Corinthians 9:10).

God is faithful to do all that His word says. However, sometimes, we unintentionally judge God by human standards. Before you argue and think, “Not me.” Have you ever allowed worry to stop you from obeying What the word of God says regarding a matter? I am willing to bet just about every person has, at some point in their life, been swayed by worry.
What is worry if it is not doubt in God’s word, His character or lack of knowledge of who God is? When we worry, we have lost sight of God’s faithfulness and judged that He can not or will not keep His word. We unintentionally assume that like a human God may fail which causes us to worry rather than believe.

The year 2023 was a testament to God’s faithfulness for our family. It was just before the New Year in 2022, and. I had determined in my heart that the first fruit offering would be a part of my life going forward. IF you have never heard of a First Fruit offering it is a gift you give to God in faith From the first of your harvest. For me it is to say thank you for His faithfulness and to show I trust him with the year to come. I knew in my spirit it was key to the breakthrough I had been seeking. I had been believing for it all year. As the year was wrapping up the knowledge of some upcoming changes to our finances opened the door to worry.
In the natural, it looked like making ends meet would be impossible, and feeding my family became a looming concern. My heart was troubled that First Fruit’s offering would also be impossible. I am not one to worry, so when that door opens, I move to quash its presence quickly. I sat down with God and brought Him my concerns. Simply asking, “Lord, we need a solution.” His response was, “I give seed to the sower and bread for food.” Immediately, peace washed over me, and I knew that while I had no solution in the natural, God was on the scene, and that was all I needed to know.

Not long after, God began to pour out His faithfulness. I am almost positive it was the same day, but if not, it was within a couple of days of that conversation my neighbor showed up at the door with a heaping mountain of bread. “Not room enough to receive it took on a whole new meaning.” Imagine how much bread a house of six can eat; it overflowed in excess to the point I had to freeze it to keep it from spoiling.
I had to laugh. God said He gave bread for food and immediately confirmed that word. Like clockwork for an entire year, God sent a reminder as my neighbor showed up at my door with bread. But God didn’t stop there. I had set a number in my heart of what I wanted to give for Our First Fruits offering. with our tight finances That number seemed impossible to reach with the year coming to a close.
But With Each weekly reminder of bread for food, God spoke to my heart, I give seed to the sower. Sure enough, just as He had promised, God sent Cash gifts that exceeded my number by about $30.00. Even though that money was a gift, it was a sacrifice to sow it because of the need we were facing. But I Joyfully sowed the entire Seed with great expectation for what God had in store.
As 2023 dawned, My husband received an unexpected raise and another a few months later. Halfway through the year, I received a new Job I hadn’t been looking for. And as the year of 2023 came to a close, Doni received yet another raise and promotion. Our income nearly doubled from the previous year. All from a seed that God gave to me to plant.

All I had to do was trust God to be who He is and faithfully provide from the seed He had given me to sow. God is far greater than we often give him credit. We think our worry will help us find a solution, but God is our solution. Rather than spending your precious time toiling in worrisome thoughts, dwell instead on the goodness of God and watch the miraculous unfold in your life.
What is God daring you to believe? What facet of His character is He trying to reveal to you? If I have learned anything in my walk with Christ, it is this. The challenges we face are an invitation to either discover the greatness of God or dive into doubt and live in our own strength. God Loves to show us who He is, but we make the choice to either draw near in faith and obedience or stand far off in fear. I dare you to draw near to God in faith. He will not disappoint.
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus
